Remedial Massage is performed by trained Remedial Massage Therapists with a sound understanding of the human body. They work specifically with muscles and other soft tissue structures to help decrease pain, relieve tension and restore motion.

 

Due to their recognition as trained professionals and ability for patients to claim rebates from their private health funds, you’ll get more than just a massage. Your Remedial Massage Therapist will come up with a treatment plan tailored to you. To do so, they’ll assess your posture, identify your problem areas and refer to the information you provide on your intake form as well as in person.

 

After your initial assessment, your Remedial Massage Therapist will leave the room, dim the lighting and allow you to get comfortable on the treatment table. Towel techniques are used throughout to protect your privacy.

 

The Remedial Massage techniques used will be varied and flexible to your needs. They can include relaxation massage, soft tissue massage techniques, sports focused massage, postural focused massage, pregnancy focused massage, Swedish massage techniques, myofascial release massage, trigger point therapy, cupping, percussion massage gun and deep tissue massage techniques. All Remedial Massage techniques will have an underlying focus on improving any aches and pains you might have and leaving you feeling loose, refreshed and relaxed.

 

Once the Remedial Massage is finished your Remedial Massage Therapist will leave the room, allowing you to get changed before returning with post treatment advice, exercises, stretches, further treatment recommendations or anything else they think will help you to manage any problem areas.

Tania comes to us with 16 years experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist. Graduating from Victoria University in 2004, Tania had her own business in Melbourne for 5 years. 

 

Tania has specialised in sports treatments and worked with St Kilda Football Club, Dragons NBL basketball team and at the 2006 Commonwealth Games for the Welsh Team; where she worked on boxers, track and field athletes, weightlifters and netball players. 

 

Over the years, Tania has learnt many varied Remedial Massage techniques that she incorporates into her Remedial Massage treatments to suit each individual client. Including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping, percussion massage gun, NAT Hip Protocol by Niel Asher and many more. 

 

Tania is now studying a Bachelor of Nursing degree at Notre Dame University. She will continue to work part-time as a Remedial Massage Therapist, as it is a passion of hers to help her clients decrease pain and achieve optimal function.
